Joseph Millson’s extensive work in feature films has included leading or lead supporting roles in Angel Has Fallen (MILLENNIUM/LIONSGATE), Casino Royale (MGM/SONY), I Give It A Year (STUDIO CANAL), All The Devil’s men (SABAN), A Prancer Tale (UNIVERSAL/SKY), The Dead 2 (ANCHOR BAY), Creation Stories (SONY), The Chameleon (E-One), Telstar, Devil’s Bridge, Burning Men, Dead Of The Nite, The Magnificent Eleven, Macbeth,and Enid. He has been the name above title star of Dragonheart Vengeance and Tango One (UNIVERSAL).

Joseph is well known for his work in TV/streaming shows such as The Last Kingdom (NETFLIX), Moon Knight (MARVEL), Citadel (AMAZON STUDIOS), Banished (BBC), 24 - Live Another Day (FOX), Catch 22 (HULU), Holby City (BBC), The Sarah-Jane Adventures (BBC), Peak Practice (ITV), Campus (CHANNEL 4), Survivors (ITV), Ransom (CBS)and Penny Dreadful (SONY) among over thirty other tv credits.

Joseph is an award winning theatre actor having played leading roles at the National Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company (where he is an associate artist), in the West End, in New York and at most leading London theatres. He recently won the UK Theatre award for best performance in a play for The Rover at the RSC. His portrayal of Macbeth at Shakespeares Globe was filmed and subsequently released in cinemas worldwide. He has performed in West End musicals, creating the role of Raoul in Love Never Dies (for which he won a Whatsonstage Award) and starring as Mr Banks in the recent West End revival of Mary Poppins. 

He has appeared in over forty radio dramas and was nominated for the best actor award at the BBC Audio Drama Awards for his portrayal of George Orwell in The Real George Orwell

Joseph was the co founder and associate director of Pursued By A Bear Productions for many years, helping to produce several new plays. He is the patron of The Actor’s Centre, a fellow of Rose Bruford College and an associate practitioner at the Independent Centre for Actor Training. 

As a writer, Joseph’s first screenplay, a feature film adaptation of Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale has sold and is in pre-production with an attached cast including David tennant. He has completed two other feature film screenplays which are doing the rounds and gaining interest , and worked as a lead drama writer on the forthcoming epic docu-drama COLOSSEUM for the History Channel, recently filmed in Morocco. He is completing a masters degree in screenwriting at Falmouth University.
